India Post has partially suspended booking of international mail for USA

 

Department of Posts, India has partially suspended booking of international mail for USA. After reviewing the mail transmission situation to USA and taking note of the restricted availability of flights / transit connections and reduced space on the available flights, the department of Posts has been decided that booking of Air Parcel and Air Letter Mail for USA shall be kept on hold with immediate effect till further orders.

Booking of EMS (international Speed Post), ITPS (International Track Packet Service) and Sea Letter mail category for USA will remain operational as usual.

Department has issued order for circles to bring this to the notice of all the Customers. The delivery articles may not be possible as per the delivery standards mentioned in Citizen's Charter of India Posts or the standards agreed and published otherwise due to the limited capacities available as a result of ongoing ban on scheduled commercial flights due to Covid pandemic.
